I chose this photo initially because it caught the crisp, early-evening colors and secondly for its sense of scale. It captures a familiar scene. The parking lot lights intrude, but emphasize perspective and pull my eyes up, to help me look past the buildings to realize the vast, flat sky.
The colors in this image work so well together. The light and emotion are so strong.
